Whether you’re leading a choir, shaping a performance, or seeking your own authentic sound, my work invites you into music rooted in depth, reflection, and genuine connection.

Sound Crafted for Reflection and Belonging

Alongside composition, I work closely with singers through voice lessons and vocal coaching centered on honoring the authenticity of each individual voice. Together, we build confidence, freedom, and expressive clarity—always grounded in joy, curiosity, and trust. As a collaborative pianist, I bring the same philosophy: partnership over hierarchy, listening over leading, and music shaped through shared intention.

Everything I offer is rooted in community, emotional depth, and the belief that when voices are truly heard—something transformative happens. My work exists to support who you are now, and who you’re becoming as an artist.

My choral, piano, and solo vocal compositions and arrangements are deeply influenced by nature, self-reflection, and the shared human experience. They’re designed for choirs, classes, and performances that want to move beyond surface-level sound and into something meaningful.

I’m Lawrence, a composer, conductor, vocalist, and pianist offering a multidimensional approach to music-making.

From an early age, he was drawn not just to performing, but to bringing people together through music—discovering the power of shared sound, shared purpose, and shared expression. Those formative years ignited a passion for building musical spaces where voices could unite and stories could be told collectively.

His time in Hawaii deepened and expanded that vision. Studying Piano and Vocal Performance at Brigham Young University–Hawaii immersed Lawrence in a richly diverse cultural environment that profoundly shaped his artistic identity. Surrounded by musicians from across the world, he experienced firsthand how music transcends language, background, and tradition. Collaboration became more than a skill—it became his calling.
In Hawaii, Lawrence embraced every opportunity to grow as a vocalist, pianist, conductor, composer, and educator. Whether leading ensembles, performing on stage, accompanying fellow musicians, or founding his own vocal group, he discovered that his greatest fulfillment came from empowering others through music. It was never just about the performance—it was about connection, representation, and creating meaningful artistic experiences that honored different cultures and voices.
This passion continued to flourish in his graduate studies in choral conducting, where he refined his artistic leadership under renowned mentors. There, he strengthened his commitment to excellence in pedagogy, expressive performance, and culturally thoughtful programming. Lawrence believes that music education should inspire confidence, curiosity, and collaboration—developing not only strong musicians but thoughtful artists and leaders.
What sets Lawrence’s approach apart is his foundation as both a performer and a collaborator. Having worked extensively as a vocalist, pianist, conductor, and composer, he understands music from multiple perspectives. This allows him to guide ensembles and students with empathy, technical clarity, and artistic vision. His rehearsals prioritize musical excellence but also emotional authenticity—encouraging performers to understand the “why” behind the music, not just the notes on the page.
Now serving as a vocalist with the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, Lawrence continues to live out his mission: to serve, connect, and uplift through music. Performing across communities and cultures has reaffirmed his belief that music is a bridge—one that fosters unity, healing, and understanding.
At the core of Lawrence’s story is a simple conviction: music is meant to be shared. It is a platform for service, a vehicle for cultural expression, and a space where collaboration transforms individual talent into collective impact. Through every performance, rehearsal, and classroom, Lawrence remains committed to cultivating artistry that is excellent, inclusive, and deeply human.

Lawrence started his musical journey back in the Philippines, where his love for collaborative music first took shape through conducting choirs and serving as a collaborative pianist.

Today, I serve as a professional musician in the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, performing at a high level of artistry and collaborating with elite ensembles. Alongside this, I continue teaching private voice lessons, collaborating as a pianist, conducting choral ensembles, and composing original music. With the launch of my new website, I am excited to share these services more widely and connect with students, ensembles, and collaborators who are passionate about growth, artistry, and authentic musical expression.
Through all these experiences, my goal remains the same: to help musicians develop their unique voice, build confidence, and create meaningful connections through music—whether in the studio, on stage, or in a collaborative ensemble setting.

My Journey

Lawrence earned his Bachelor’s degree in Piano and Vocal Performance from Brigham Young University–Hawaii, where his passion for performance, collaboration, and culturally diverse music-making truly flourished. Immersed in a vibrant artistic community, he worked alongside musicians from around the world—an experience that deeply shaped his artistic vision and continues to influence his musical platform today.
While in Hawaii, Lawrence became a sought-after vocalist, performing extensively in a wide range of ensembles. He served as one of the lead singers of the BYU–Hawaii Salsa Orchestra, appeared in leading roles in musical and Broadway revue productions, and was featured in numerous vocal performances across the islands. His versatility as a performer allowed him to move seamlessly between classical, contemporary, Broadway, and Latin styles.
As an instrumentalist and collaborative pianist, Lawrence was equally active. He performed for four years with the Shaka Steel Band, contributed as a keyboardist and synthesist within orchestral rhythm sections, and maintained a full schedule as a collaborative pianist for voice lessons, masterclasses, recitals, rehearsals, and university productions. His commitment to collaboration established him as a trusted and respected musician within the department.
In his junior year, Lawrence was appointed Adjunct Faculty and Director of the BYU–Hawaii University Chorale—an exceptional honor during his undergraduate studies. In this role, he emphasized strong choral pedagogy while programming repertoire that celebrated cultural diversity and artistic expression. He considers his time directing the University Chorale one of the defining highlights of his undergraduate career.
In addition to his university work, Lawrence founded Our Voice, an eight-voice choral ensemble with professional collaborative piano. The group performed at university functions and various musical events across Oahu, creating meaningful artistic experiences within the community. During this period, Lawrence also organized and collaborated with distinguished choral conductors and professors, bringing masterclasses and professional mentorship opportunities into the classroom to cultivate an environment of open learning and artistic growth.
A dedicated composer, Lawrence conducted and premiered numerous original choral works during his undergraduate studies, culminating in a recital featuring his own compositions. This creative momentum led him to pursue graduate studies under one of his long-time inspirations, Dr. Craig Jessop, former director of the Tabernacle Choir. Lawrence was among the first students admitted into Dr. Jessop’s newly established Choral Conducting program at Utah State University.
During his master’s studies, Lawrence served as Assistant Conductor for the American Festival Chorus and Orchestra, conducting semester concerts and major annual events. He was also Assistant Conductor of the USU Concert Choir and Director of the Women’s Chorus, where he integrated his conducting, collaborative piano skills, and original compositions—many of which were premiered during his tenure. Alongside his conducting responsibilities, he maintained an active studio of voice students and became highly regarded for his vocal coaching and mentorship.
Currently, Lawrence serves as a vocalist with the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band. Through this distinguished role, he performs nationally and internationally, using music as a means of connection, service, and cultural outreach. Whether through concerts, community engagement, or deployment performances, he considers it a profound honor to serve through the universal language of music.
At the heart of Lawrence’s career is a commitment to excellence, collaboration, cultural representation, and service—using music not only as an art form, but as a platform to inspire, connect, and uplift.
